Whether your Enactus team is exploring an early stage idea or scaling a successful social enterprise--or anywhere in between--we want to know how you are taking  entrepreneurial action to address food waste and/or food loss. By accepting the call to action, you’ll join a global community of Enactus students, Faculty Advisors and business leaders who believe we can tackle the global food waste crisis.

1 Race 2 End Waste is open to all registered students on Enactus teams working on food waste/loss projects that align with the Enactus Judging Criterion.

Please visit enactus.org/where-we-work/ to see the 36 countries where Enactus currently operates.

Not part of Enactus? Contact international@enactus.org to learn how you can join.

To enter the Race, create a team and submit an Action Entry between 23 February - 30 April 2017.

Then, share your project through a dynamic, 77-second video before 1 June 2017 to be eligible for Progress Rewards. Check out the 77-Second Video Guidelines for details.

Take Action

Between 1 May and 1 June 2017, participating Race teams will submit Progress Reports to compete for 1 Race 2 End Waste Progress Rewards. We want to know how your project is delivering measurable progress towards addressing food waste/loss. Progress Reports will be evaluated by food waste/loss experts and 1 Race 2 End Waste sponsors to determine the strongest projects. Check out the 1 Race 2 End Waste Challenge Page for a complete listing of Progress Rewards.

Don’t forget to submit your 77-Second Video before 1 June 2017 to be eligible for Progress Rewards!

Report Progress

The top four Race teams will compete for scaling funding at the 1 Race 2 End Waste Impact Competition, which will take place at the Enactus World Cup 2017 in London, 26-28 September.

Also during Enactus World Cup, a special collaboration session for World Races will be hosted for select Enactus students, Faculty Advisors and business leaders to discuss shared insights, challenges and positive impact.
